Every time that the QBasic Station is significantly updates, a log entry is made into the Status report. A planned addition to this "news" page is an actual status report on the QBasic Station. Indicators of the number of files, source code, and tutorials will be included to show the actual status of the QBasic Station. GOTO...

In case you would like to know a little more about this site and its webmaster, this section has that information. You might like to see some of the other projects being developed aside from the QBasic Station. GOTO...

Tutorials & Articles

Beginner Tutorials
For those who want to get into this thing called programming, the Beginner Tutorial is the best place to start. It instructs on the fundamental QBasic commands with detailed explanations of each command and clear example codes. GOTO...

Command Tutorials
Even experts have a hard time with things once in a while. The Command Tutorial is an indexed collection of tutorials. Each tutorial explains the syntax and usage of its respective command or function. Example code is also provided for clarification and experimentation.

The Command Tutorial is never finished; at least not until there is a tutorial for each command. Currently, many of the commands do not have a tutorial written for them. To remedy this, email the QBasic Station and request that one be written for a specific command or two. This way a priority can be set on the commands that are being worked on. Be sure to set the subject to "Add to the Command Tutorial". We will write up the tutorial as soon as possible, and email it to the requestor as well. GOTO...

Concept tutorials
Knowing the syntax of commands is only a small part of programming. YOu have to know how to use those commands to perform operations in a convenient and functional way. The Concept Tutorials give a bit of programming theory and guidance. GOTO...

Articles
Once in a while we produce an article about programming, usually about QBasic, just to have something interesting to read. Sure, the QBS has a bit of code and a few games, and tons of tutorials, but we feel that it is important to entertain you as well, even if it mean laughing at how silly that articles are. GOTO...

Quickreference
This is a page that has a one-liner description of each command in QBasic, just to let you know what each comand is capable of doing. GOTO...

Drawing Board
If you are desperate for some ideas, or want to see some of the weird ideas that I've had, the drawing board is a list of some of those ideas. They are there for you to use for yourself or just to spark your imagination.

Programs

RobotWars
This is the official flag-game of the QBasic Station. There is a complete explanation of the game on the RobotWars page as well as within the game documentation. GOTO...

Utilities
Some programs can help you with your programming, whether with source code or functionality. In any case, this page is the start of a collection of such code that you can use in your own programs. GOTO...

Games
Qbasic is great for games, though this site is not dedicated to them. Still, there are a few that we find worth putting here for download. Games submitted by visitors will be reviewed for quality and, if they qualify, will be included on the Games page. (Contact the QBasic Station if you wish to submit a game.) GOTO...

Member's Files
If you are a QBS member, you have the ability to upload your own programs to the site for other visitors to download. When you log in, the "My Files" link is where you manage your files. Each files that is uploaded can have a description and a category selected. The member's file page sorts the files so that you can download according to what you are looking for. GOTO...

Forum
Any good programming site needs a forum for asking everyone questions and, if you are lucky, actually get an answer. This is kind of following suit, but you get the idea.GOTO...

Skype Me!
There is a free program called Skype that allows real time voice chat over the internet. Their goal as a company is to provide the best voice chat in the world, so it's not that bad! Download the program, sign in, and we can talk!GOTO...

Email Us
The Feedback form is provided for you to email us without having to bother with an email program. Simply fill out the form and submit it. Because of spam, the current email address used for all communications with the QBasic Station can only receive email from the feedback form. Apologies for the inconvenience. GOTO...

We are very glad that you have come to visit!

Quote of the day...

We are the programmers. You will be turned into a recursive subroutine. Resistance is a really good way to get us upset and yourself dropped into the cybernetic oblivion of an old programs directory.
