Great solution, Ted, and so simple.

There are several other solutions around, including Mac's using ON ERROR, but yours is by far the best.

The issue of zero-length-files is really not a problem these days.

I try to avoid file error handlers.

I don't recommend deleting zero length files in a Windows or root directory however.
